I started the business in 1978 with the help of my father, Don Brents. That is how the name, D & S Garage came to be. I was twenty years old, with little money and my dad set me up with everything. I started out as a mobile service in a van. I was able to move out of my van to Bagwell Service Station for a while.
In October 2004, we had the opportunity to buy the Quaker State Lube shop in Somerset, TX. Since we live in Somerset, we jumped at the chance. We added a 4 bay garage behind the oil change facility. D & SGarage & LubeCenter is a full service garage. A successful family owned and operated business takes teamwork, quality service and appreciation of its workers to make it run smoothly. My wife, Andrea, runs the day to day paperwork, the phone calls and office functions. I take care of the customers vehicles.
I enjoy running my own business, but most of all I receive great pleasure in taking care of my customers.
